Royal Canin Dog Diabetic Special Low Carbohydrate Wet

For dogs over 1 year
DIABETIC SPECIAL should be fed for life.

Caution: The use of this diet increases insulin sensitivity. Monitoring of blood glucose levels and, if necessary, adjustment of the insulin dose is absolutely essential at the beginning of feeding.

Important notes:

  • Veterinary diet food may only be given in consultation with the vet.
  • While your pet is being treated with a veterinary diet food, you should visit the vet regularly (approx. every 6 months) for check-ups.
  • If your pet’s health deteriorates, seek veterinary advice immediately.

Adapted starch content
A low starch content reduces the occurrence of postprandial hyperglycaemia.

Glucoregulation
The addition of cereals (maize) can effectively prevent postprandial hyperglycaemia.

High fibre content
Dietary fibre results in delayed absorption of nutrients in the small intestine and helps to control the blood sugar levels of affected dogs.

Protection through antioxidants
A synergistically acting combination of antioxidants (Vit. E, Vit. C, taurine, lutein) can help protect body cells against attack by aggressive metabolic products.

S/O Index
S/O-Index: Helps to prevent the two most common types of stones, struvite and (calcium) oxalate.

Dog Satiety Small Dog Dry
Weight: 1.5kg
Royal Canin Dog Satiety Small Dog Dry For adult dogs up to 10 kg body weightThe table of recommended daily rations is based on the animal's target weight and degree of excess weight. The optimum weight loss is 1 to 3% of body weight per week. To maintain the target weight once it has been reached, you can switch to SATIETY, WEIGHT CONTROL or NEUTERED products. The energy intake in the weight maintenance phase should in any case be a maximum of 10% higher than in the last reduction phase. Important notes: Veterinary diet food should only be given in consultation with your vet. During treatment with a veterinary diet, you should visit your vet regularly (approx. every 6 months) for check-ups. If your pet's health declines, seek veterinary advice immediately. SatietyA special fibre blend can increase your dog's feeling of fullness and help reduce spontaneous energy intake.High protein contentThe increased protein content helps to support the maintenance of muscle mass during weight loss.Dental healthSelected nutrients can support oral and dental hygiene.Balanced nutrientsEnriched with nutrients, minerals and vitamins to avoid deficiency symptoms when feeding a diet with reduced calorie content.S/O IndexFeeding a diet with the S/O Index creates a urinary environment that counteracts the (re)formation of struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. SENSITIVITY CONTROL should then be fed for life. This diet can be fed to adult dogs as well as puppies.SENSITIVITY CONTROL is recommended in cases of chronic dermatoses with allergic background, including atopic dermatitis. Important information: Veterinary diet food may only be fed in consultation with the veterinarian. During the treatment with a veterinary diet food, you should visit the veterinarian regularly (approx. every 6 months) for check-ups. If your pet's health deteriorates, seek veterinary advice immediately. Selected protein sourcesThe highly digestible ingredients (duck and rice) represent a very compatible combination of raw materials for feed intolerances. They help to minimise the risk of an allergic reaction in affected dogs.Skin barrierThe very high levels of biotin, niazine and pantothenic acid in combination with a zinc-linolenic acid mixture help to reduce fluid loss through the skin and strengthen its barrier effect.EPA/DHAEicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) are long-chain omega-3 fatty acids that can help modulate inflammatory skin reactions.High digestive safetyFermentable fibres (FOS) promote a balanced intestinal flora and also support the health of the intestinal mucosa. Weight: 1.5kg
Royal Canin Dog Urinary S/O Small Dog Dry For dogs up to 10 kg body weight5 to 12 weeks, or until the struvite crystals/stones have dissolved. Important notes: Veterinary diet food must only be given in consultation with a vet. During treatment with a veterinary diet, you should visit the vet regularly (approx. every 6 months) for check-ups. If your pet’s health deteriorates, seek veterinary advice immediately. Struvite DissolutionThe composition supports the dissolution of struvite crystals/stones.Low RSS valueHelps to reduce the ions in urine that form struvite and oxalate crystals (undersaturation).Urine DilutionBy increasing urine volume, the formation of struvite and calcium oxalate is counteracted.Tartar PreventionCalcium catchers can help to counteract tartar formation.
