Total hardness (GH) supplies important minerals, while carbonate hardness (KH) supports the pH value in the aquarium as a buffer. In this way, you create a water profile that can be better adapted to the needs of many freshwater inhabitants – especially if you start deliberately with soft source water and want to set your own values.In addition to hardening, OsmoVital Salt also supplements essential trace elements and vitamins. At the same time, it is free from nitrate and phosphate, which can be an advantage especially in well-maintained planted aquariums and with controlled nutrient management.
