The Exo Terra Compact Top is a compact terrarium lamp cover designed for the Exo Terra glass terrarium. The easy-to-install cover accommodates terrarium lamps or low-wattage incandescent bulbs. You can use a combination of various Exo Terra Repti Glo terrarium lamps (PT2226 / PT2227 / PT2228) to achieve the ideal balance of ultraviolet and visible light. An incandescent bulb such as the Daytime Heat Lamp increases the ambient air temperature. Additional accessories, such as the digital Exo Terra thermometer or hygrometer and the Exo Terra thermostat or hygrostat, can be slid into a special recess on the cover.

Hobby UV-B Quick test With this test, you can easily and quickly see whether your source of UV-B rays continues to radiate them. To test this hold the card approximately 5 cm under the lamp and wait 10 seconds. A part of the card will change from white to purple, depending on the intensity of discolouration you can tell the strength of your UV rays. According to the manufacturer, this card can be used up to 500 times. Warning! Replace your UV-lamp at least yearly if not more often, this card should be used as an indicator to do so.
