Live food marine copepods / copepods

Marine copepods are small crustaceans that are ideal as live food for small fish and shrimps in freshwater and saltwater aquariums.

Marine copepods are an excellent source of protein, fat, omega-3 fatty acids and fiber, making them an ideal live food for fish and other aquarium invertebrates. In addition to providing nutrients, they provide invertebrates with important building materials for moulting, including chitin from their outer shell and moulting hormones.

It is recommended to rinse the copepods under running water before feeding to remove any residues. These small crustaceans die quickly in fresh water and are then readily eaten by dwarf shrimps and snails, providing a natural and healthy addition to the diet of these aquarium inhabitants.

Even with the greatest care, it can happen that food animals die due to temperature fluctuations or unpredictable events. We accept no liability for this.
