At first glance, it looks very similar to Helanthium tenellum (former name: Echinodorus tenellus) and is easily confused with it. The difference lies in the leaf colour and width, and the height also seems somewhat lower. We have given this plant the name 'Broad Leaf' due to the leaf blades being up to 2.5 mm wide. The leaf colour remains a bright medium green and can therefore be easily combined with colourful plants such as Hygrophila pinnatifida. The care requirements are comparable to the standard Helanthium tenellum. Here too, turf formation is promoted by vigorous pruning.
