The crude fibre to starch ratio is unique. According to veterinary recommendations, this should be at least 3:1. Why? Crude fibre is necessary for the gastrointestinal tract (at least 20%). Starch should only be included in small amounts (< 6.5%) - this prevents digestive problems and obesity.
