The tortoises love to sit in this tortoise house. Despite the lid being open (using the automatic window opener) and the small door, it gets too hot in the tortoise house from midday on a sunny day at 20 degrees (45 degrees, certainly more in midsummer). You either have to shade the house or chase the tortoises out. The little door is actually on the wrong side. You always have to stand in the garden enclosure to open the lid. If the door and lid were on the opposite side, you could open the house from outside the enclosure (if it's on the edge of the enclosure) and wouldn't have to stand inside all the time. One hole was not drilled in the right place and we could only assemble the house completely after we had drilled the hole in the right place with the drill.
