Underwater gardener
Aquascaping refers to the technique of designing aquarium landscapes. Imaginative plant arrangements, imitations of an above-water landscape or natural habitats can be created. An aquascaping aquarium contains little to no fish and invertebrates. This reduces the nutrient supply for plants and limits their growth. Nitrogen, phosphorus and other minerals become scarce and must be specifically fertilised. For healthy plant growth in a beautiful underwater landscape, the plants need light, CO2 and the right nutrients.
Specially for shrimp aquariums
ProScape Soils are special substrates that have been specially adapted to the needs of aquascapers. Soils are not water-neutral, but have a softening effect. They make the water softer and slightly acidify it, so that the pH moves into the slightly acidic range. JBL Plant-Soils are highly nutrient-rich to immediately supply the plants with many nutrients and minerals, while ShrimpsSoils are lower in nutrients, but still provide nutrients to the plants. Application:
Briefly rinse the substrate under tap water to remove abrasion due to transport. To prevent accumulation of minerals in the water, change 50% of the water every 2 – 3 days in the first two weeks after filling. As the impact on the water values depends on the initial water and on the intervals between the water changes, the softening effect decreases over time.

Aquarium plants need a regular supply of nutrients for strong, healthy growth. Aquaria are usually fertilised on a weekly schedule, which means that larger quantities of fertiliser are added at regular intervals. With a Dosator, your aquarium plants are fertilised as in nature, in that they are given a small quantity of nutrients on an ongoing basis.
The Dosator is specially designed for the Dennerle fertilisers V30 Complete and S7 VitaMix.V30 is dispensed automatically over 4 weeks; S7 over the space of 1 week.
AN INNOVATION FROM DENNERLE
The Dennerle Dosator made from high-quality plastic works according to the principle of osmosis. Water from the aquarium "seeps" through the semi-permeable special membrane into the reservoir, pushing the nutrient solution drop-by-drop via the riser into the aquarium. This has two effects: firstly the aquarium gets the amount of fertiliser it needs, and secondly: the Dosator becomes a "tank indicator": as the water enters bit by bit and pushes the fertiliser into the aquarium, the fertiliser-water mixture in the Dosator becomes increasingly clear. When the contents of the dispenser lose their colour (S7 orange, V30 yellowy-green) you know it is time to fertilise.
