With Eriophorum angustifolium (cotton grass / cottongrass), you are choosing a plant for your garden pond that creates a particularly natural, light effect. Cotton grass is ideally suited to pond landscapes which are designed to look more natural, or where a soft shoreline is deliberately retained. With its grass-like habit, it adds structure to the edge zone without appearing heavy or dominant – ideal if you wish to keep the water area visually open. The white flowers appear from April to June (IV–VI) and add bright highlights early in the year.
