Highest acceptance The Chihuahua's diet is often characterised by frequent changes of food (home cooking, tinned food, treats etc.). As a result, they quickly become accustomed to a varied diet and can become very choosy when selecting their food. Chihuahuas in particular must therefore have a particularly high level of acceptance of their food, as they also have a relatively poorly developed sense of smell compared to large dogs. Dental care Sodium phosphates trap calcium in the saliva, making it unavailable for tartar formation. Reduced stool odour Highly digestible proteins, rice, fructo- and mannan-oligosaccharides, insoluble minerals and an EPA/DHA complex minimise the amount of undigested food residues.
