JBL ProNovo Betta Insect Stick SStaple food sticks in size for fighting fish from 3 to 10 cm in the aquarium.Prebiotic & floating aquarium fish food: special dietary fibres in the food provide the beneficial intestinal bacteria with food for healthy digestionNatural raw materials without artificial additives for a natural diet and healthy aquarium fish. Tested on JBL research expeditions in the tropicsVery high acceptance by all fighting fish species thanks to high-quality raw materials such as insects, shrimps, salmon and squidWith very high-quality natural astaxanthin from krill and spirulina, which ensures perfect color formation in fighting fishScope of delivery: Original sealed, airtight and lightproof, recyclable can with click dispenser as a feeding aid or 20 g in a fresh bagJBL PRONOVO BETTA GRANO, JBL PRONOVO BETTA FLAKES, JBL PRONOVO BETTA INSECTFighting fish are actually peaceful aquarium inhabitants and get along with all fish that do not fit into their mouths. Only a male of the same species will be fought to the death - hence the name! The beautiful, long-finned fighting fish in our pet stores are descended from the species Betta splendens, which is often used for fish fights in Asia. Fighting fish and many other labyrinth fish (gouramis, gourami & macropods) live in both stagnant and flowing waters. They are lurking hunters that shoot out quickly with their upper mouth to eat an insect that has landed on the surface of the water, for example. They do not eat any aquarium plants and do not need much space. If you want to keep females as well as males, you should definitely add several females. A single female would be too crowded. The best-known fighting fish species build foam nests on the surface of the water, which are guarded by the male. Other fighting fish species are mouthbrooders, which incubate their eggs in their mouths until the young hatch and are large enough to stand on their own legs or fins. The water values are not really decisive for fighting fish. Although they prefer soft water and pH values between 6.5 and 7.5, they can also cope with other values. When it comes to food, it is important that the composition is adapted to their natural diet. JBL PRONOVO BETTA as flakes or granules forms the basic diet. JBL PRONOVO BETTA INSECT is designed as a supplement to offer the animals variety. All three JBL fighting fish foods contain astaxanthin, which causes the fish to develop strong colors. It is a natural carotene obtained from krill and spirulina. They feel at home with a few floating plants and a "weedy" aquarium setup.
