Tillandsias absorb the necessary nutrients and water through their leaves. Their distribution extends across many regions in different climate zones, e.g. tillandsias thrive in ever-humid rainforests, cooler mountain forests, and some species even in semi-deserts.Tillandsias are relatively undemanding plants, which makes them easy to care for. Tillandsias require a bright location, but one that is protected from direct sunlight, especially in summer. Tillandsias thrive very well at room temperature.In winter, tillandsias should not be exposed to temperatures below 15°C.Tillandsias are best sprayed with soft water 2 to 3 times a week. A special tillandsia fertiliser is available for fertilising, which contains all the important nutrients for your tillandsias to thrive.Tillandsias are, with optimal care, relatively little susceptible to diseases and pests.
