Mealworms - Tenebrio molitor The mealworm (Tenebrio molitor) is one of the oldest commercially bred feeder animals. They are relatively easy to breed. As it is not possible to use insecticides in mills, an infestation is difficult to control. Mealworms are a classic food for soft-feeding birds.
