Is an eat slow bowl useful?
An anti-snacking bowl is made with ridges, knobs or depressions so that it no longer has a smooth surface and the food is therefore more difficult to reach. The dog must first use its tongue to get the food out of the raised or recessed areas before it can eat it. This slows down the dog's eating speed.
Anti-snack bowls are used for various reasons.
On the one hand, to minimise the likelihood of your dog choking (aspirating), but also to prevent him from vomiting after eating very quickly.
Furthermore, an anti-swallowing bowl can also serve as an activity for your dog so that he cannot reach his meal so easily.
