EHEIM Activated carbon cartridge – carbon cartridges for adsorptive filtration

Specially treated carbon cartridges are available for adsorptive filtration – i.e. for removing chemical pollutants (chlorine, medication residues etc.). Adsorptive filtering is normally only necessary during the start-up phase of the aquarium or after the use of medication. In any case, the filter cartridges should only be used for a limited period (approx. 4 weeks) and then removed or replaced.
