The ring was practical for ringing, but it had some sharp edges that had to be filed off beforehand.

I found the bird ring practical because I was able to ring my zebra finch after the ringing time. The aluminium rings made this possible, which the plastic rings would not have been able to do. Unfortunately, the ring was a bit sharp when I broke it off and I solved this problem by filing off the edges.
