Farmina N&D Ocean Puppy Mini Cod & Pumpkin 2.5 kg
Farmina N&D Ocean Puppy Mini with 28% cod, 27% cod protein, pumpkin and cantaloupe melon. Grain-free puppy food for small dog breeds. 2.5 kg.
Farmina N&D Ocean Cod, Pumpkin & Cantaloupe Melon Puppy Mini is a high-quality complete food for puppies of small dog breeds, as well as for pregnant and lactating bitches. The carefully balanced recipe combines a high proportion of fish with selected plant-based ingredients, valuable omega fatty acids and essential nutrients for the growth phase.
Puppies need a diet tailored to their needs, particularly during the first few months of life. Their bones, muscles, organs and nervous system are still developing. A balanced intake of proteins, fats, minerals and vitamins lays the foundation for healthy growth.
With 28% cod and 27% dehydrated cod protein, the food contains a total of 55% of these two cod ingredients. Cod provides high-quality animal proteins and essential amino acids, which are important for muscle development and growth.
The recipe is supplemented with dehydrated herring protein and fish oil derived from herring. As a result, the dry food provides valuable omega-3 fatty acids, particularly DHA and EPA.
DHA is an important component of cell membranes in the brain and retina and plays a significant role in the development of young dogs. The omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids it contains also contribute to normal skin function and a healthy coat.
The food contains sweet potatoes as a selected source of carbohydrates. The grain-free recipe is supplemented with 5% dried pumpkin. Pumpkin provides plant-based fibre and supports a varied diet.
Another special feature is the cantaloupe melon, which makes up 0.5% of the recipe. Together with carrots, apples, pomegranate, spinach and blueberries, it enriches the recipe with natural plant-based ingredients.
The prebiotic fibres contained – inulin, fructooligosaccharides (FOS) and mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) – can support a balanced gut flora. In addition, the formula contains psyllium and psyllium husks, which, thanks to their swelling dietary fibre, can contribute to normal digestive function.
With a crude protein content of 35% and a fat content of 20%, this dry food is tailored to the increased nutritional and energy requirements of growing dogs. The energy content of 4,125 kcal/kg supports their nutritional needs during the intensive growth phase.
The food also contains 1,400 mg/kg of glucosamine and 1,100 mg/kg of chondroitin sulphate. These substances are natural components of cartilage tissue and complement the formula.
The small kibbles, with a diameter of 8–10 mm and a thickness of 4–6 mm, are specially designed to suit the smaller jaws of puppies from small dog breeds. This makes it easier for them to eat.
Farmina N&D Ocean Puppy Mini is a grain-free, fish-based puppy food and is also suitable for pregnant or lactating bitches, who have increased nutritional requirements during these stages of life.
The dry food is available in a 2.5 kg pack.

Zoo Roco Tip
Puppies of small dog breeds have high energy requirements relative to their body weight. At the same time, they have small stomachs and can often only consume limited amounts of food at a time.
Farmina N&D Ocean Puppy Mini combines high-quality fish proteins with a high energy content and small kibbles. This makes the food well-suited to the specific needs of small dogs during their growth phase.
Weigh out the daily food ration accurately and divide it into several smaller meals. Regular feeding times are particularly important for very small puppies.
Use part of the daily dry food ration as a reward during training. This allows you to get your puppy used to its first commands in a playful way, without feeding it an unnecessary amount of extra calories.
Ensure steady weight gain during the growth phase. A puppy should neither gain weight too quickly nor be chronically deficient in energy.
Do not supplement a balanced complete puppy food with additional calcium or mineral supplements on your own. An excessive intake of minerals can disrupt the delicate balance of nutrient supply during growth.
