Dennerle offers products for aquariums which can do more than just combat symptoms. Care is taken to ensure that natural resources are handled with care right from the production stage.
However, the products themselves should also be able to be used in an environmentally compatible manner - for example, through an above-average service life (e.g. Trocal) or through the use of concentrates to reduce packaging waste (e.g. water care concentrates). Dennerle designs functioning, coordinated products which are geared to maintaining the natural cycle and are safe for nature, humans and animals. In this way, Dennerle makes it possible to experience a piece of nature at home in a sustainable manner.

Every aquarium is a biological system whose individual factors are inseparably linked. The basis of an aquarium according to Dennerle philosophy is healthy plant growth, because the plants constantly purify the water from pollutants and at the same time produce the oxygen which is essential for the fish.
Since 1966 Dennerle has been pursuing a holistic approach to the aquarium ecosystem in order to simulate biological cycles in a simple manner as a functioning system in accordance with natural processes. The coordinated products form a system with which underwater landscapes can be easily and safely maintained.

For best results, we recommend leaving the treated water to rest for a few hours before using it in the aquarium. This allows all minerals to dissolve optimally and distribute evenly in the water. Use a conductivity meter for precise control to ensure the ideal conditions for your shrimps.

Tie onto a stone or root
Another and also new variety of the dwarf spear leaf is the 'Gold' variety. It was discovered in the normal cultivation stock in a nursery in Taiwan. After isolation, it took a few years until a stable stock was available. Its light green to golden yellow leaf colour clearly distinguishes it from other dark green Anubias species. The lighting should not be too weak here, otherwise the plants will become darker in leaf colour again.

The large Amazonas sword plant is perhaps the most popular plant in the aquarium hobby. Its leaves are 3–6 cm wider than those of the ‘amazonicus’ variety, and the height of up to 60 cm makes this species appear even more dominant. Mature clumps, some with more than 50 leaves, are a striking feature. However, the substrate must be at least 10 cm deep for the root system to develop properly. Combined with Helanthium species (dwarf Echinodorus), beautiful South American underwater landscapes can be created.

The brown colour variant of Cryptocoryne wendtii is also very popular and can be used in many planted landscapes. Its leaf edges are slightly wavy; in some cases, the leaves are also bullous in shape. The leaf colour is green to brown, sometimes with brown streaking. With good lighting, its leaves become deep dark brown. In combination with other green cryptocorynes, this creates a very striking contrast. Like almost all Cryptocorynes from Sri Lanka, it grows well in harder water and is therefore ideally suited for cichlid aquaria.

Lilaeopsis brasiliensis is a decorative foreground plant. In its natural habitat it colonises the banks of rivers and swamps up to an altitude of over 1,000 m. Its grass-like character is similar to that of Helanthium tenellum, which is why it is sometimes referred to as "false tenellus". It is easy to cultivate in the aquarium, prefers cooler water and grows quite slowly, regardless of whether the water is soft or hard. Strong pruning, as with a lawn, promotes compact growth. It needs plenty of light.

Micranthemum umbrosum is an ornamental aquarium plant from the USA. Its roundish leaves grow to around ½ centimetre in size and are bright green in colour. As a typically light-hungry plant, it does not like excessively high temperatures. Like Hemianthus micranthemoides, it can also be easily trimmed into shape with sharp scissors. This ornamental aquarium plant is native to the east coast of North America. There, the Hemianthus species grows on stony or muddy substrate along river courses. Its loose, upright growth and bright, light green colour give a fresh, spring-like impression. The plant can be easily shortened with the help of sharp scissors. After pruning, many new side shoots sprout and the plant looks more compact and dense. The combination of light green Hemianthus with red-leaved species such as Alternanthera is very rich in contrast.

A new species from India with an unusual character. It has only been on the market for a few years and is increasingly being planted in fascinating landscapes. On the one hand, its leaves are very attractive, ranging from rusty brown to olive green, on the other hand, the leaf shape is beautifully pinnately divided. In combination with simply shaped plants, the expression of this ornamental leaf shape is intensified. Another special feature is the ability to grow on stones and roots – completely atypical for a stem plant.

The Sumatran fern has much finer leaves than Ceratopteris cornuta. This species is found in many tropical countries. Here it usually grows in muddy shallow water, but can also be found in rice fields. This graceful fern requires sufficient space in the aquarium as it grows very quickly. This delicate, creeping marsh plant is native to Australia and was made famous by Takashi Amano in the 1980s. It is now world-renowned and a staple in aquascaping-style aquariums. Successful cultivation requires very good lighting and a good supply of CO2. The best way to plant the delicate shoots is with plant tweezers; the potted plant is divided into individual pieces and planted a few centimetres apart.Aquatic plants in vitroIn vitro plants are cultivated in the laboratory under sterile conditions. They are supplied in a 7cm closed container. The small plants are completely free of algae and snails and can be planted directly. Beginner's plant. Easy to care for
An easy-to-care-for, delicate fern plant that is also often used in breeding aquariums. Labyrinth fish, for example, feel very much at home beneath the floating leaves on the water’s surface, where they can build their foam nests without any problems. The fern is quite easy to care for; stronger lighting and CO2 additions promote growth enormously and particularly robust fronds develop. Small seedlings can develop on the underside of the leaves above the water surface. These can be used for new planting in the substrate.

Notes
The leaf shape of No. 9 is reminiscent of the pure green variety 'Harbich'. In addition, however, there is a very beautiful red spot pattern. The almost circular emersed leaves can only be observed above water; in the aquarium they have shorter stalks and the leaf shape is much more elongated. The olive-green leaves with reddish-brown markings are often wavy at the leaf edge. With a growth height of up to 25 cm, this variety is also suitable for smaller aquariums. Like all Jungle Star varieties, it is very easy to care for.
