Due to maintenance measures such as water changes or the natural evaporation process, it is necessary to add tap water to the pond from time to time. As our tap water is intended for human use, it contains chlorine to kill germs. It may also contain heavy metals which are harmless to humans but toxic to fish. Both chlorine and heavy metals stress the fish and inflict long-term harm. Tetra Pond AquaSafe neutralises these substances harmful to fish instantly and effectively, and additionally adds vital substances such as minerals and iodine to the water.
