Fruit flies (Drosophila melanogaster) large
Drosophila, also known as fruit flies, are the smallest flies that are commercially bred as food animals.
flightless
for amphibians, small reptiles and young spiders
also for small ornamental birds
Fruit flies are the smallest flies that are commercially bred as food animals. However, these flies were originally bred for genetic research, as the reproduction duration of the flies is very short. In order to handle the animals more easily, specimens with crippled wings were bred out. As a result, the flies have lost their ability to fly. Drosophilas are often fed to amphibians, small offspring of reptiles and young spiders, but also to small ornamental birds.

10-12mm
Variety for reptiles and amphibians
Ovenfish are primitive insects that grow to about 10 to 12 mm in length. They are often also referred to as silverfish. The animals are known as pests in bakeries etc. and love a dry, warm climate. Breeding is a lengthy process, as the animals take about 3 months to reach adulthood. As the animals are not particularly productive, this species of insect cannot be bred commercially in larger quantities and therefore only plays a minor role as a feeder animal. However, some terrarium keepers feed ovenfish to smaller reptiles for variety.

Springtails are tiny urine insects that are kept in moist soil and are sometimes found in houseplants. They are mainly fed to amphibians such as dentrobates etc., which require particularly small insect food. Springtails are supplied in breeding batches, which can also be fed and propagated with ornamental fish flake food. DRV power supply unit 24 Watt for all HeatStripThe SolarStinger/SolarRaptor DRV2s are universal drivers (power supplies). They can be used to operate SolarRaptor products with a 6-pin connection. They can be combined with the products quickly and easily using the practical plug connections. It is also possible to connect several products via a DRV Y-cable or the control unit CON1 to only one DRV2 of corresponding size.Important when coupling several units:The sum of the power consumption (total wattage) of all connected products must not exceed the maximum output power (watts) of the DRV2 power supply unit!Calculation example:To operate TWO SolarStinger SunStrip III 35 FRESH with 19 watts each, together with ONE CON1 control unit (1 watt), a DRV2 48 W is required
HeatStrip II from SolarRaptorWith the HeatStrip from SolarRaptor, a warm breeze blows through your terrarium - putting an end to misted-up windows.Easy installation due to self-adhesive backingAir warmer/window heaterNo more misted up windowsPrevents cold draughtsThe problem of draughts in terrariums is often underestimated: especially with large ventilation areas, it can quickly become too draughty for the animals because colder air is constantly flowing in. Then they only stay directly under the heaters and are thus restricted in their natural behaviour. In the worst cases, this can even lead to respiratory diseases. The SolarRaptor HeatStrip II is a unique heating system. Terrarium owners usually mount the self-adhesive rod directly on the front air inlet of their terrarium. This heats the incoming air and increases the air temperature in the entire terrarium. In addition, the so-called "chimney effect" ensures an overall improved air exchange. The Heatstrip thus ensures a constant supply of fresh and warm air and improves the climate for both the animals and the plants in the terrarium. For owners of a rainforest terrarium, the HeatStrip has another advantage: Rainforest terrariums have high humidity, which is usually produced with the help of sprinkler systems or ultrasonic foggers, so the windows often mist up. This is not only unpleasant for the animals, but also a nuisance for the reptile or amphibian keeper. As the heat source of the HeatStrip is located directly on the front pane, condensation of humidity on the pane is effectively counteracted. This means no misted-up windows and thus always a clear view of the animals. Please note: A DRV power supply unit is required for operation - please order separately.Variants:450mm / 8 Watt750mm / 12 Watt950mm / 16 Watt

Lucky Reptile Thermo Mat heating mat for terrariums
Emits infrared radiation
Animals and objects are warmed
Attachment outside the terrarium, e.g. under the terrarium, on the sides or the ceiling
Extra flat for flexible installation
Easy installation thanks to self-adhesive backing
Special design for optimum heat dissipation

Lucky Reptile Thermo Mat heating mat, 3 watts, 10 cm x 12.5 cm
Lucky Reptile Thermo Mat heating mat, 7 watts, 15 cm x 28 cm
Lucky Reptile Thermo Mat heating mat, 14 watts, 28 cm x 28 cm
These heating mats emit infrared radiant heat similar to ceramic heaters. The radiation directly warms objects and animals and only slightly increases the air temperature. This makes it easier to achieve and control the temperature gradient necessary for many reptiles in the terrarium. The heating mats are equipped with a self-adhesive film and can therefore be easily installed. Thanks to the radiant heat, these heating mats can be installed not only on the floor but also on the sides or the lid of the terrarium. The special design of the heating mat is characterised by optimum heat distribution and thus reduces the risk of overheating.
ATTENTION!Most floor substrates (beech shavings, bark substrates, sawdust etc.) are not suitable for use with underfloor heating. Please inform yourself and in this case install the heating mat on the side of the terrarium. For safety reasons, we recommend only using heating mats with a thermostat. Please observe the instructions for use with the safety notes!
JBL ProTemp S - Safety control heater with protective cage
JBL ProTemp S heater for aquariums and terrariums
Heater for optimum temperature control of aquariums
Simple installation
Inserting the heater into the protective cage, selecting the temperature on the setting wheel, inserting into the aquarium, attaching to the inner aquarium pane with suction holders
Precise temperature setting: Adjustment dial for temperature selection from 20 - 34°C, control accuracy +/-0.5°C. Optimum temperature transfer: star-shaped ceramic heating element
TÜV tested, waterproof - unbreakable safety quartz glass with protective cage. Automatic protective switch-off when water level drops
Heater for the aquariumFish adapt to the outside temperature. The vital functions of cold-blooded animals decline with falling temperatures. The correct aquarium temperature is therefore very important to ensure problem-free feeding and a smooth functioning metabolism. Depending on the origin of the fish, the temperature at which they feel comfortable varies.
Simple installationPlace the heater in the protective cage supplied. Select the desired temperature on the dial and immerse the heater in the aquarium at least up to the "min. water level" line. Secure with the suction holders. As soon as the heater is connected to the power supply, the indicator light will illuminate. The heater can also be mounted horizontally, e.g. in turtle tanks.
Optimum temperature transferThe safety control heater from JBL offers optimum temperature transfer in the range of 20-34°C. A control accuracy of +/- 0.5 °C is guaranteed with the aid of the setting wheel. The maximum achievable temperature depends on the water volume and the temperature difference to the surrounding room.
Safety control heaterEmbedded in a protective cage to prevent fish from burning themselves. The heater is waterproof, can be immersed up to 100 cm and is very stable with 2 mm safety quartz glass. If the water level drops or the heater is removed from the water, the safety thermal switch switches off the power supply to protect against overheating. The heater is TÜV-certified.
Which size?In an unheated room you need 1 watt per 1 litre of water. If the room is heated, 0.5 watts per litre of water can be calculatedExample:Unheated room: 100 watts are sufficient for a 100 litre aquariumHeated space: 100 watts are sufficient for a 200 litre aquarium
