This green water trumpet originates from the central highlands of Sri Lanka. Due to its low growth height of only 5 - 10 cm, it is the smallest species kept in aquaria. On the banks of fast-flowing rivers it grows in dense colonies. Cryptocoryne parva grows very slowly and is also somewhat more demanding to care for. Stronger lighting and CO₂ supplements are required. The small water trumpet is highly recommended for Nano Cubes. Even in the smallest 10 L cube, this little plant has enough space.
