Die Zwergnadelsimse Eleocharis pusilla ist in Australien und Neuseeland beheimatet und besiedelt dort Feuchtgebiete mit unterschiedlichen Wasserständen. Die Wuchshöhe ist im Unterschied zur Eleocharis acicularis deutlich kürzer, meist nur wenige Zentimeter hoch. Ein weiteres Unterscheidungsmerkmal sind die hellgrünen, leicht gebogenen Halme der Zwergnadelsimse. Optimal wächst diese Graspflanze im kühleren Wasser, permanent höhere Temperaturen über 25° C verträgt sie nicht. Für Stein Layouts im Stil von Iwagumi ist diese zarte Schönheit hervorragend geeignet für die Darstellung einer frischen „Sommerwiese“. Wie die Nadelsimse lässt sich auch die Zwergnadelsimse gut zurückschneiden, somit wird der Bestand noch dichter und kompakter.
Wasserpflanzen In-Vitro
In Vitro - Pflanzen werden im Labor unter sterilen Bedingungen kultiviert. Sie werden in einer 7cm grossen, geschlossenen Dose ausgeliefert. Vallisneria spiralis gehört auch zu den Klassikern in der Aquaristik. Die anspruchslose Wasserpflanze bildet bandförmige Blätter zwischen 0,8 und 1,5 cm Breite. Manchmal werden Blattlängen bis zu 1 m erreicht. Die Pflege und Kultur ist einfach und bestens zur Gestaltung einer grünen, lebenden Rückwand geeignet. Ausläufertriebe, die in den vorderen Bereich wachsen, sollte man rechtzeitig entfernen. Der Artname „spiralis“ bezieht sich nicht auf die Blätter, sondern auf die spiralig gedrehten Blütenstängel. Sie ist auch eine ideale Pflanze für Barschaquarien.

Das Kubanische Perlenkraut wurde erst vor einigen Jahren in einem Bach auf der Insel Kuba entdeckt. Wegen den nur wenigen Millimeter großen Blättchen gilt dieser Hemianthus als kleinste Aquarienpflanze der Welt. Hinsichtlich der Wasserwerte ist das Perlenkraut sehr anpassungsfähig; wichtig sind jedoch eine sehr gute Beleuchtung und eine gute CO2-Versorgung. Die emers gezogenen Pflanzen werden in kleine Stücke geteilt und portionsweise eingepflanzt. Innerhalb weniger Wochen entsteht so ein dichter Teppich im Vordergrund. Eine Aquariengestaltung zusammen mit einer Steinlandschaft wirkt sehr dekorativ und natürlich.

Die Sorte "Thailand" besitzt die schmälsten Blätter der drei verschiedenen H.coymbosa-Varietäten. Bei guter Beleuchtung färben sich die Blätter rötlichbraun, bei normaler Beleuchtung mittel- bis hellgrün. In offenen Aquarien kann man auch die kleinen, violett farbigen Blüten beobachten. Typisch für ihre emersen Triebe ist die Behaarung der Stängel und der generell festere und steifere Wuchs. Hygrophila-Arten eignen sich auch gut für Paludarien und Feuchtterrarien.

Die Wasserpest, so der deutsche Handelsname, weist schon auf die Wuchseigenschaft hin. Egeria densa gehört wohl zu den gutwüchsigsten Pflanzen überhaupt und ist vollkommen unproblematisch in der Kultur. Mit Heimat in Südostbrasilien und Argentinien, ist sie mittlerweile aber in allen Kontinenten eingebürgert. Bei der Sorte „Dichtblättrig“ ist die Beblätterung des Stängels extrem dicht und kompakt. Sie wächst auch sehr gut eingepflanzt oder freischwimmend im Gartenteich, ist aber bedingt nur winterhart.Wir sind sehr bemüht, dass unsere Pflanzen gesund und unbeschädigt bei Ihnen ankommen.
