Here, scientists agree that they promote digestion and thus health. There are few arguments for or against the type of food. If you use an automatic feeder such as the JBL AutoFood, you MUST choose granulate food, as almost all automatic feeders are only suitable for granulates. If an automatic feeder is due on your next holiday, get your fish used to the granules from the feeder RIGHT NOW. Some fish actually find it a little difficult to switch from granules to flakes or vice versa.
