Back Zoo Nature experience bedding for rodents or birds100 % naturalMade from coconut barkdoes not moldretains moistureabsorbentContents 20 litersCan be made even more interesting with the additives for the substrate from Back Zoo Nature.Back Zoo Nature Bedding is made from the bark of the coconut and is an extremely ecological floor covering. It is 100% natural, biodegradable and therefore good for the environment.Back Zoo Nature Bedding is in many ways the best choice when it comes to floor coverings for birds and rodents (less suitable for rats). Among other things, it retains moisture without becoming moldy. This also makes it ideal for outdoor enclosures.Birds generally require a good humidity level of 50 to 60 % or more. In many households, the humidity (mainly in winter) is not much higher than 30%. By choosing Back Zoo Nature Bedding as a ground cover and moistening it, the humidity is increased significantly.Back Zoo Nature Bedding also has the advantage that birds and rodents can burrow in it without the litter ending up next to the cage. It is much more compact than sand or beech shavings, so that it is not whirled up/carried away so quickly. This is because birds and rodents also like to dig.A large proportion of the food they eat in their natural habitat is also found on the ground. This therefore also stimulates natural behavior. The use of sand can affect the bird's eyes/respiratory tract and beech shavings can easily become moldy, which is also harmful to the bird.Back Zoo Nature Bedding is therefore the perfect ground cover with many benefits that will have a positive impact on the habitat of any captive bird or rodent. Can be disposed of in compost.

NEKTON-Biotin - 75gNEKTON-Biotin is a high-quality supplementary feed for ornamental and birds of prey, specially developed to support moulting and new feather formation. The balanced formula with 18 amino acids, essential vitamins, minerals, trace elements and a high biotin content provides your bird with targeted support during a particularly demanding phase.
Especially during moulting, the organism of your bird is under great strain. For the formation of dense, smooth, and glossy plumage, an optimal supply of protein building blocks, vitamins, and minerals is crucial.NEKTON-Biotin has been precisely tailored to these needs and can help to compensate nutrition-related plumage damage and support the natural process of new feather formation.
Since the plumage consists of protein-based substances, your bird needs particularly high-quality nutritional support during the moult. The contained amino acids specifically balance the often unfavourable amino acid ratio of plant-based feed and thus contribute to a needs-based diet. The preparation is cold-water soluble and can be easily administered via drinking water or soft food. This way, you can easily integrate NEKTON-Biotin into the daily feeding routine. The advantages at a glance:Supplementary feed to support moulting and the formation of new plumageSuitable for all species of ornamental and birds of preywith 18 amino acidscontains essential vitamins, minerals and trace elementswith 200,000 µg biotin/kgcan contribute to smooth and glossy plumagecold-water soluble and easy to administer via water or soft food Content: 75gZoo Roco Tip:

Feeding plants for birds
Most birds feed on fresh, vitamin-rich, semi-ripe seeds in the wild. Fruits, leaves, buds, flowers, grasses, mosses, bark, clay, maggots, insects and much more complete the diet. However, the usual grain food on the market consists of 100 percent hard, mature seeds, which many bird species, such as parakeets and finches, only eat in times of need. In order to feed birds in a species-appropriate way, the shoots, leaves, flowers, buds or fruits of many different plants should also be offered to the birds. They are not only rich in nutrients, but often also have healing properties that keep our feathered friends healthy and strengthen their defences. This book presents around 200 suitable food plants, many of which are native species growing on our doorstep, so to speak, or grown in the garden and thus easy to obtain. It also describes which parts of the plants are used, how they are processed and properly presented to both native birds and popular ornamental birds such as finches, parakeets and large parrots. Preparation of drinking and bathing teas, use of bud therapy as well as mineral and animal feed supplements and a list of plants (parts) poisonous to our birds as well as practical health tips round off the whole. Every bird lover should always have this ideal reference book at hand when it comes to feeding their feathered friends. Due to its practical format, it is also easy to take with you when you are out and about and want to enrich the menu for your charges with plants you have collected yourself. A standard work that now fills the gap in the specialist literature for bird lovers!
