Notes
Dennerle discovered this grass-like beauty during our Florida plant-hunting tour in the winter of 2012. At first glance, it looks very similar to Helanthium tenellum (former name: Echinodorus tenellus) and is easily confused with it. The difference lies in the leaf colour and width, and the height also seems somewhat lower. We have given this plant the name 'Broad Leaf' due to the leaf blades being up to 2.5 mm wide. The leaf colour remains a bright medium green and can therefore be easily combined with colourful plants such as Hygrophila pinnatifida. The care requirements are comparable to the standard Helanthium tenellum. Here too, turf formation is promoted by vigorous pruning.
Aquatic plants in vitro
In vitro plants are cultivated in the laboratory under sterile conditions. They are delivered in a 7 cm closed container. The small plants are completely free of algae and snails and can be planted directly. This product group is ideal for smaller aquariums and Nano Cubes as well as for modern aquascaping. You can easily see how demanding each plant is by looking at the top right corner of the packaging. Before planting, simply rinse off the nutrient medium and portion the plant
