Lucky Reptile Coco Backgrounds are 100% natural backgrounds made from coco fibres. They are free of chemicals, pesticides and fertilizers. Natural rubber is used as glue which is completely save for the animals. The material can be cut easily and quickly adapted to any terrarium size. Our Coco Backgrounds are also an excellent subsoil for plants. Tillandsias, vines and tendril plants can be planted on the background and quickly adhere to the coco fibres. Hydro Drain is actually indispensable for tropical terrariums. It is a special clay substrate that is a very good water reservoir. Hydro Drain is used as a drainage layer under the normal substrate. Water can seep through the substrate and is stored by the clay granules. If the water absorption capacity of the clay is exceeded, the water can also easily remain on the terrarium floor. As long as the height of the drainage layer created with Hydro Drain is not exceeded, bogging of the normal substrate is prevented. Thanks to its water storage capabilities, Hydro Drain also increases humidity in the terrarium and is practical for supplying plants with sufficient groundwater. We recommend adding a layer of Hydro Drain at least 3 cm high to the terrarium and covering it with our special Hydro Fleece. The normal substrate such as terrarium humus or Jungle Bedding is then added on top. The Hydro Fleece prevents soil from seeping between the clay granules, while water can flow through without any problems. Hydro Drain is suitable for use with underfloor heating systems.

The Exo Terra Terrarium is the ideal home for reptiles and amphibians, designed by European herpetologists. The front-opening doors allow easy access for feeding and care. A special locking mechanism prevents “escapes” and the doors can be opened independently of one another. The top, made of fine-mesh metal mesh, and the resulting good ventilation allow UVB and infrared light to penetrate the terrarium. It can be easily removed completely for decoration or cleaning purposes. On both sides of the rear of the top, there are 5 sealable cable channels for installing heat mats, waterfalls, sensors, etc. inside the terrarium.
