The Repto Palu Foam in the size 100 × 50 × 5 cm is a high-quality, textured back panel for the custom design of terrariums, paludariums or wetland biotopes. With its natural-looking surface, this foam module is ideal as a base for planted back walls, waterfalls or climbing surfaces for reptiles, amphibians and tropical plants.

The so-called Dendroplate is dimensionally stable, easy to work with and can be cut to size, drilled or shaped. The open-pored structure provides optimal hold for moss, epiphytes or silicone adhesive – ideal for bioactive setups.

➼ Possible applications

As a drainage layer: Place the foam panel on the bottom of the terrarium to create a drainage layer. This helps to drain excess water and prevents the substrate from becoming saturated. Use a water-permeable cloth or fine filter material on top of the foam panel to prevent fine soil mixes from entering the foam layer.
As a filter medium: The Repto Palu Foam can also be used as a biological filter medium in the water section of a paludarium. Its open structure allows beneficial bacteria to colonise easily, thereby contributing to healthy water quality.
For plant roots: The foam panel provides a stable surface for plant roots to anchor. This is especially useful for growing mosses such as Java moss or liverwort, which will quickly overgrow the foam panel. This contributes to a natural appearance and a healthy growing environment.
Easy to cut: The foam panel can be easily cut to size with a sharp knife so that it fits perfectly into your terrarium or paludarium. This makes it a versatile solution for various applications.
