South Tyrol rodent hutch - a home for guinea pigs
The hutch has two levels, with the upper level easily accessible via a ramp. A central hatch also divides the upper level into two areas - ideal for separating a quieter retreat from the more active area.
The extra high gable area creates a pleasant feeling of space and supports good air circulation. The balcony is designed as a hay rack for daily feeding: This means that hay can be offered cleanly and stays in place better instead of being spread all over the stable.
In everyday life, you benefit from several cleverly positioned entrances. Four front doors can be opened separately - practical if you want to access a specific area without opening the entire hutch. There is also a side door on the left, which is suitable for a free run or to set up an outdoor enclosure. This allows you to expand the hutch modularly and offer your animals more space depending on the weather and schedule.
Cleaning is a real plus: Two 6 cm high plastic trays can be easily pulled out. This saves time, makes daily cleaning easier and supports hygienic husbandry. The weatherproof bitumen roof provides reliable protection from the weather, while height-adjustable plastic feet protect the wood from ground moisture. The hutch is made of wood and coated with water-based wood preservative paint - which is said to be safe for the animals.
Delivery and assembly are also straightforward: the hutch comes disassembled in two boxes and is supplied with assembly instructions.
