JBL ProScape Volcano Mineral - Volcanic natural substrate for aquascaping
Volcanic rock substrate as stable foundation for rock and root wood constructions: dedicated substrate for aquascaping aquariums
Basis substrate for natural aquariums: porous volcanic rock ensures water circulation at the bottom. Supplies plant roots with organic plant nutrients
Vigorous plant growth: ideal oxygen supply and circulation through open-pored structure. Long-term supply with nutrients and minerals
Safe foundation, no slipping: volcanic rock becomes firmly interlocked. Ideally suited for a firm foundation
Underwater gardenerAquascaping is the term used for designing aquarium landscapes. This is where plant compositions, reproductions of landscapes above water or natural biotopes are created. An aquascaping aquarium contains no or few fish and invertebrates. This way the nutrient supply for plants is reduced and their growth is limited. Nitrogens, phosphorus and other minerals become scarce substances and need controlled and exact re-dosing. For healthy growth in their beautiful underwater landscape the plants need light, CO2 and the right nutrients.Volcanic rockThe highly porous volcanic rock fulfils important functions in an aquascaping aquarium: Firstly it forms a stable foundation for further rock constructions and/or root wood, which would otherwise slip downwards through the soil. Secondly many beneficial bacteria settle inside the porous structure. The porousness of the rock structure also enables the nutrient to penetrate it and it thus supplies numerous minerals enabling the plants to take root and grow well inside it.The calculation formula for the right amount of substrate is:length (cm) x width (cm) x height (cm): 1000 = litres JBL ProScape VolcanoMineral

Lobelia cardinalis 'Mini'Lobelia cardinalis 'Mini' is a green plant, recommended for the second level of the aquarium and for the paludarium. A very decorative species that is not particularly demanding.Difficulty of growing: easy Light requirements: medium CO₂ requirements: low Outgrown plant height: up to 20 cm Growth: medium Temperature: 15-28°C Placement in aquarium: second level Origin: North America Shell diameter: 6 cm Lobelia Cardinalis mini is a plant native to North America. In nature, it is found in wetlands and riverbanks. It is distributed from the Gulf of Mexico through the eastern states of the United States to southern Canada.
It grows in the ground and has a well-developed root system. The feathery stems can develop auxiliary roots in leafless areas. Its small leaves are bright green, oval with a conspicuous pale central vein.Lobelias can be cultivated in aquariums and paludariums. It thrives in muddy soil as well as underwater. It tolerates temperatures from 15 to 28 °C and can also be kept in a pond. It thrives best at 20-23°C and requires soft to medium-hard water with a pH between 6.5 and 7.2.Without sufficient light, the leaves turn yellow, but in bright light the undersides of the leaves turn purple. It is not particularly demanding, but regular water changes, fertilizer and CO₂ support its growth. In the aquarium, lobelia should be planted in a group in the middle ground, but it is also well suited as a foreground plant. Pruning is necessary for the plant to grow well; use scissors to remove older leaves. You can also cut back the entire plant and use the cut tips as cuttings.
Planting: The plant must be removed from the cup and thoroughly rinsed from the gel under running water. This is best done by placing the plant in a container of lukewarm water. Most of the gel will then fall off by itself. Divide the contents of the cup into 1-2 cm lumps and then set them at intervals of 1 to 2 cm.

The Dragon - real wood dragonThe Dragon! This natural wooden decoration for freshwater aquariums or terrariums is THE eye-catcher in your aquarium or terrarium. The handmade individual pieces reflect the shape of a dragon and are absolutely unique. Filigree and branched, but still impressive, mystical and massive, the dragon comes along. For aquaristics, perching plants such as anubias, bucephalandra or mosses such as Java moss can be used to give the dragon an even more primal appearance.Expert tip for aquarists: Before placing the dragon in an aquarium that has already been brought into service, we recommend watering it for a few days and changing the water regularly. This reduces the so-called "bleeding" of the roots and also ensures that the roots do not float up.In a terrarium, make sure that the dragon is suitable above all for light animals such as small lizards, geckos or frogs, otherwise the filigree branches could break off.natural wooden decoration for freshwater aquariums or terrariumshandmade unique pieces ideal for the very special aquarium/terrariuma unique eye-catcherdoes not affect the quality or clarity of the watercan be planted with perennials and mossesapprox. 60 × 30 × 40 cmThe Dragen is a natural product and a one-off, which means that the image is to be understood as a symbolic image.
