Optimised for desert reptiles The spectrum of the lamp has been optimised for desert reptiles. Tests have shown that reptiles from desert regions prefer a daylight spectrum with a colour temperature of approx. 6000K. This is achieved by the BrightSun UV Desert. Together with the heat and UV radiation as well as the high illuminance, the animals practically have a small mini sun in the terrarium. The expected lifespan is over 6000 hours; however, replacement is recommended after one year, as the spectrum begins to change after a certain age due to technological factors, and both UV radiation and overall light output diminish over time. The Bright Sun fits into E27 porcelain sockets, but requires a special ballast such as the Lucky Reptile Bright Control ballasts for operation.
