It is not refined, deodorised, hardened or bleached. This is the only way to preserve the intense flavour of fresh coconuts. Coconut oil is a vegetable oil that is solid at room temperature and has a melting point of around 20° to 25° C. If the oil is to be fed, this can be done in solid or liquid form. To apply it to the skin or coat, it is sufficient to take some oil in your hand and let it melt with your own body heat. The Bright Sun fits into E27 porcelain sockets, but requires a special ballast such as the Lucky Reptile Bright Control ballasts for operation.
