The Exo Terra Terrarium is the ideal home for reptiles and amphibians, designed by European herpetologists. The front-opening doors allow easy access for feeding and care. A special locking mechanism prevents “escapes” and the doors can be opened independently of one another. The top, made of fine-mesh metal mesh, and the resulting good ventilation allow UVB and infrared light to penetrate the terrarium. It can be easily removed completely for decoration or cleaning purposes. On both sides of the rear of the top, there are 5 sealable cable channels for installing heat rocks, waterfalls, sensors, etc. inside the terrarium. The base of the terrarium is raised so that a substrate heater can be fitted to heat part of the enlarged floor area. The extra-high front windows are ideal for thick layers of substrate (so that reptiles can burrow), for water features (paludarium) or for installing a Exo Terra reptile cave. The lifelike background is in the same colour as all other Exo Terra decorative items (water bowls, waterfalls, heat rocks, etc.) and offers extra space for climbing.

Drosophila Mite Separator
The Drosophila mite separator is a practical aid for the hygienic preparation of feeder insects. It reliably separates mites from Drosophila (food flies) before they are fed to reptiles, amphibians or other insectivores. This reduces the risk of mite transmission and supports clean feeding.
Product features - at a glance
- Effectively separates mites from Drosophila
- Facilitates the hygienic preparation of feeding flies
- Reduces the risk of mite transmission
- Quick and easy to use
- Suitable for daily feeding
- Ideal for terrariums and breeding
- Reusable and easy to clean
The Drosophila mite separator was specially developed to separate mites from the Drosophila before feeding. Especially in terrariums and insect breeding, mites can multiply quickly and be unintentionally transferred to terrariums. (Food mites do not go to terrarium animals such as reptiles and amphibians)
By using the mite separator, the food flies can be hygienically prepared before feeding. The Drosophila are separated, while mites remain in the container or are separated out. This contributes to cleaner feeding and the well-being of the animals.
The mite separator is easy to use, quickly ready for use and is suitable for both hobby keepers and professional breeders.
Zoo Roco tip
Use the mite separator regularly, especially with freshly purchased or home-bred Drosophila. Clean the tool after use to prevent mites from accumulating again.

Tad Pool Dendrobates Spawning Tubes Set of 4These laying tubes for dendrobatesand oophages are ideally designed for egg laying. The appearance of the Tad Pools is reminiscent of bromeliads in shape and color, and so is readily accepted by the dendrobates and oophages as a place to lay eggs. They do not stand out much in the terrarium planting. Bromeliad leaves serve as egg-laying sites for the poison dart floras and thus promote natural breeding behavior. The Tad Pools are injection molded from high quality food grade material so there is no risk of toxic chemicals being exchanged with the frogs/eggs or toad polyps. The texture is particularly smooth, which invites the frogs to lay their eggs.

The rounded glass front corners give you a real panoramic perspective over 180°, which makes observing the animals much more pleasant and gives the terrarium a very high-quality appearance. A key advantage is the large floor area: you can create different zones in the same terrarium, for example warmer and cooler areas, drier and wetter areas and several hiding and climbing structures. This supports natural behaviors, promotes movement and reduces stress - especially for species that actively move between microclimates.the adjustable front panel ventilation ensures a stable terrarium climate. It supports a constant flow of air and helps you to control the temperature and humidity in a targeted manner. At the same time, the front pane remains free of condensation even at high humidity levels, which improves visibility and hygiene. In practice, the Vista 60 impresses with its convenient access: from the front via the lockable double door and from above via the hinged, lockable mesh cover. This allows you to set up the terrarium easily, feed with less stress and carry out maintenance work safely. The minimum size is calculated on the basis of the animal's body length.Typical areas of application areGeckos (e.g. smaller species, depending on how they are kept, rather highly structured facilities)Anoles and similar diurnal climbing speciesSmall amphibian species (depending on humidity requirements, bioactive also possible thanks to waterproof floor)Invertebrates (e.g. larger insect species or arachnids, provided the climatic requirements are suitable)Young animals or temporary rearing or quarantine housing for larger species (check on a species-specific basis)Note for Switzerland: Please base the size of the terrarium and its furnishings on the species-specific requirements and the provisions of animal welfare legislation (TSchV). If in doubt, we will be happy to advise you on the appropriate size.Zoo Roco TipPlanthe technology right away when setting up: Run cables/hoses through the designated, closable openings before you fully set up the terrarium. Shroomroom MossBase 40 g
- for terrariums and paludariums
Moldable base for moss-covered back walls or cavesShroomroom MossBase is a natural decoration and design element in powder form (40 g), developed for creative landscapes in terrariums and paludariums. Mixed with water, it creates a mass with which you can prepare dry surfaces in a targeted manner in order to realistically design decorative moss areas.
Properties and advantages
Natural decorative powder for creating moss surfaces in terrariums and paludariums
Is mixed with water to form a malleable mass (typically 40 g powder with approx. 80 ml water)
Unique consistency for preparing dry surfaces for moss growth
Ideal as a base for the targeted placement of moss spores and plant seeds
Perfect for creating moss-covered backgrounds or nature-like landscapesIf you want to create natural scenes in your terrarium or paludarium with moss areas, overgrown back walls or detailed transitions, Shroomroom MossBase is a well thought-out design aid. The product is supplied as a powder and is mixed with water to form a malleable mass. A typical mixture is 40 g powder to around 80 ml water, which creates a consistency that is easy to model.
The mixed mixture is suitable for preparing dry surfaces so that mosses adhere better later and can be integrated decoratively. MossBase is particularly exciting in combination with Shroomroom MossMix: as a base, it helps you to fix moss, fern or spore material specifically to the desired substrate in order to achieve lasting, convincing, nature-like looks.
Important for correct application: Shroomroom MossBase is a purely decorative design element. It is not a substrate for plant growth, a fertilizer or a growth promoter. You use the product exactly where it has its strengths: in detailed, near-natural terrarium and paludarium design.
Zoo Roco tip
Apply MossBase in thin layers and create soft transitions so that the surface looks natural later on. Preferably place moss areas in zones where your setup offers the right microclimate. For particularly realistic results, many terrarium builders work with a base of MossBase and then apply MossMix in precise areas instead of covering the entire surface.Customers searched for: MossBase, Shroomroom MossBase, moss back wall terrarium, moss surface modeling, paludarium moss wall, terrascaping moss, attach moss to terrarium, MossMix, moss-covered background
