A part of the card will change from white to purple, depending on the intensity of discolouration you can tell the strength of your UV rays. According to the manufacturer, this card can be used up to 500 times. Warning! Replace your UV-lamp at least yearly if not more often, this card should be used as an indicator to do so.

Advantages of the LED technology are low energy consumption, low heat emission and a long life of the light emitting diodes. Therefore, illuminating terrariums all night long is possible, without hindering the natural nocturnal drop of temperature as with other light sources. Especially nightlight incandescent lamps consume a lot of energy and consequently produce a lot of unwanted heat as well. In addition their ability to illuminate the terrarium properly and allow nighttime viewing is limited.The energy consumption of the LEDs in the Night Sky LED set is merely 0,2W per LED. This is the most energy efficient way to illuminate a terrarium at night.
The Night Sky LED set contains 3 moonlight LEDs and an electric transformer, with which up to 6 LEDs can be powered. Additional LEDs are available separately. The LEDs are connected to the transformer by a connector, which makes them easy to install. The ballast from Lucky Reptile is a multi-wattage ballast that covers three different watt variants.35Watt, 50Watt and 70Watt. That is the difference to the predecessor model, since now the possibility exists Bright Sun lamps of different Watt strength at a ballast to operate. The desired wattage can be conveniently adjusted via the slide switch on the side of the ballast.
The ballast from Lucky Reptile is specially designed for the corresponding lamps, as the ballasts affect the light spectrum and therefore the UV range.Ballast and metal halide lamp work as a unit and must be matched. Only then is it guaranteed that the animals are supplied with sufficient UV light in the optimal spectrum. The Bright Control Pro 3 powered by Philips ensures that it harmonises perfectly with the Bright Sun.

Installation:
The light can simply be placed on top of the terrarium (gauze or ventilation grille). Glass prevents UV rays from penetrating).We recommend controlling the light using a timer.
Note: The unit comes without suitable T5 tubes. These must be ordered separately.
We have the 10.0 tubes in our range, which according to the manufacturer are suitable for desert terrariums. As the UV rays decrease very quickly and are no longer measurable after just a few 10 cm, the 10.0 can be used for all animal species.
