EHEIM SUBSTRATE pro ist ein optimiertes Bio-Filtermedium mit perfekter Volumenausnutzung, langer Standzeit und höchster Abbauleistung

SUBSTRATpro besteht aus kugelförmig gesintertem Quarz. Die Kugelform erlaubt eine hohe Schüttdichte. So kann das Volumen im Filter (Filterkörbe bzw. -module) voll ausgenutzt werden. Zusätzlich sorgt die optimierte Oberfläche der Kügelchen für intensive Ansiedlung der wichtigen Reinigungsbakterien. Es bildet sich ein dichter Bakterienrasen.
Durch die hohe Anzahl an Bakterien werden auch Nitritbelastungsspitzen besser reduziert und die Standzeit des Filtermaterials verlängert.
EHEIM SUBSTRATpro eignet sich für Süß- und Meerwasser, ist auswaschbar und kann mehrfach verwendet werden.

Tipp:

Nie das gesamte biologische Filtermaterial in einem Vorgang (und nie zu gründlich) reinigen oder austauschen. Die Bakterienkulturen dürfen nicht komplett zerstört werden, sonst verzögert sich die Neuansiedlung. Zur Teilreinigung sind die Filterkörbe in Außenfiltern und die Filtermodule bei den Innenfiltern aquaball und biopower ideal.
