The JUWEL Bioflow Super is the perfect internal filter for entry-level aquariums of up to 150 litres in volume, providing you with a great many advantages. The Bioflow Super works on the principle that "The water should stay in the aquarium!" and is the safest way of filtering the water in your aquarium. The Bioflow Super works without hose connections which can cause leakage, also reducing pump output due to friction.
This filter system stands out from the crowd with its large filter volume, which provides room for excellent mechanical, chemical and biological filtering. Unlike other filters, particularly external filters, the Bioflow Super can be cleaned in just a few minutes. The bipolar current principle makes it possible to achieve different flow velocities in the JUWEL Bioflow Super. For mechanical and chemical filtering in the upper part of the filter, a relatively fast flow velocity is particularly useful. A slower flow velocity, on the other hand, is useful in the lower part of the filter, to ensure optimum development of anaerobic bacteria, which are vital for biological filtering. Bioflow Filters are also compatible for use with JUWEL heaters, which are perfectly embedded in the water circulation, ensuring an even distribution of heat through all areas of your aquarium. Each Bioflow Super comes fitted with four high-performance filter media: The filter floss catches coarse particles of dirt in the water, thereby serving as a mechanical pre-filter.
The active charcoal filter absorbs odour compounds and turbidity as well as toxic compounds, leaving you with crystal-clear water. In this way, it acts as a chemical filter.
Nitrax is a biological filter medium and contains specialist micro-organisms to break down poisonous metabolites (Ammonium/nitrite) in your aquarium, thus reducing the danger of fish mortality. What's more, Nitrax reduces the growth of algae by an aerobically breaking down nitrates, thus supporting the vitality of your fish.
The fine filter sponges are used mainly for biological filtering in the anaerobic zone.
The use of special filter cages makes it easy to remove and clean the filter media.

JBL ProHaru universal is ready to use:
80 ml tube: Open the tube with the pin located in the lid, screw on the dosage nozzle and cut to the required length. Squeeze the end of the tube to release contents.
The area to be bonded must be clean and free of dust or grease. If used underwater, the area must be free of any coating such as biofilm, algae etc. For large areas, the adhesive needs to be applied in several parallel strips. When used underwater, bonding strength may be lessthan on dry surfaces. Hardening occurs as a result of humidity at room temperature. JBL ProHaru universal gradually hardens from the outside to the inside. At low temperatures and/or low humidity, the hardening process takes considerably longer. Once opened, packs harden gradually and should therefore be tightly closed after use and used within a few weeks.

JUWEL Phorax is a highly effective filter medium used to break down phosphates in your aquarium. This effectively reduces the growth of algae and can contribute to improved plant growth.
Phosphate regularly gets into aquariums through fish food and are naturally very unlikely to be broken down. However, plants need only tiny quantities of phosphate for their natural growth (fresh water: 0.05 mg/l, saltwater 0.01 mg/l). Too much phosphate can, in some cases, trigger prolific algae growth. Phorax consists of an aluminium mineral which binds dissolved phosphate by creating a water-insoluble aluminium phosphate and removing it from the water. This makes JUWEL Phorax highly effective, binding up to 12 mg of phosphate per gram of Phorax. Characteristics of JUWEL Phorax

Unique pink Hygrophila 'Chai' is a striking variegated cultivar of Hygrophila lancea "Araguaia" that appeared at South Island Aquarium in Singapore. Its narrow-lineal leaves, curved to the side, are green only in the center, the margin is white to pink. The shade is reminiscent of that of Cryptocoryne wendtii 'Flamingo' and 'Pink Panther'. So like the normal 'Araguaia', Hygrophila lancea 'Chai' grows submersed rather spreading and strongly branched.
We recommend for Hygrophila lancea 'Chai' rather strong lighting, CO₂ addition and good macro and micronutrient supply. Growth is slow, and occasional cutting of shoot tips encourages bushy growth. Just like other stem plants, you can propagate this Hygrophila by heading and partial cuttings.
Hygrophila lancea 'Chai' provides a unique bright pink color accent in the mid to foreground, best as a smaller bushy group. It contrasts strongly with dark plants and decorative materials.Planting: The plant must be removed from the cup and thoroughly rinsed of gel under running water. This is best done by placing the plant in a container of lukewarm water. Most of the gel will then fall off by itself. Divide the contents of the cup into 1-2 cm lumps and then place them at a small distance on the selected items.

The plant forms long stems with paired, alternate, small, round, light green leaves. It has a fairly well developed root system. It needs regular pruning and is easy to shape into a desired form. It is propagated vegetatively by cutting off the shoot tips and planting them in the ground.
It likes water with a hardness of 2-12°N, a pH of 5.5-7.7 and a temperature of 24-26°C. It is sensitive to trypaflavin and can be damaged by snails. It has fairly high light requirements. With insufficient light, it pulls upward, and distinct gaps can be seen between the leaves. With sufficient light, it forms dense clumps that are pleasing to the aquarist's eye.Micranthemum umbrosum is usually placed in the background of the aquarium, but it also looks good in the foreground when cut short. It does not require absolute CO₂ fertilization, but grows much faster in its presence. When growing this plant, pay special attention to the proper concentration of iron in the aquarium water..

Nesea sp. Gold is not very demanding in terms of growing conditions. The yellow coloration of the leaves can be achieved even with moderately intense light. The stronger the lighting, the more the color shifts towards an orange tone. The plant can reach a height of up to 50 cm and is thus intended for the third level. However, it has a fairly moderate growth, so it does not require frequent pruning and with good care can be used as a foreground plant.
Nesea sp. Gold needs CO₂ in gaseous form, but the carbon dioxide requirement is not too high and medium due to the growth rate is not too fast. It requires nutrient-rich water for optimal appearance. However, attention should be paid to potassium levels, as excess can cause deformation of the growth cones.It grows best at temperatures between 22 and 28 degrees Celsius. A Plant Growth System Nano is a desirable solution for precise CO2 dosage for small aquariums. CO2 addition benefits the growth of all plants and improves colour development.
A simple and inexpensive way to supply extra CO2 to the plants in your aquarium

Suitable for starter-sets, where even small amounts of extra CO2 will make a positive difference for the plants
User guide:
Ensure that the regulator is fully off before you mount the regulator on the CO2 cartridge.
Fill the diffuser-chamber with water.
Place the cartridge in the rack, slide the suction cups on the hose and mount the hose to the regulator and the diffuser.
Mount the diffuser with the suction cups at the inner side of the tank near the bottom and place the hose in the back corner.
Leave the diffuser for 24h in the tank to ensure the ceramic disc is fully moistened.
Open the regulator carefully and count the number of bubbles per minute in the diffuser-chamber.
Wait 5 minutes, adjust and repeat until the number of bubbles per minute is similar to the recommendation in the table.
The table shows recommended dosage (bubbles per minute) in different tank sizes. A 95 g CO2 cartridge contains 50,000 ml CO2.
The most important nutrient for plants is CO2.
The natural CO2 level in an aquarium is 0-0.5 mg/L of water.Even the slightest addition of CO2 can make a big difference improving the growth and vigour of the plants.
If the aquarium contains only slow-growing Easy-plants, the addition of CO2 gas into the water should reach a level of approx. 3 mg/L to ensure good growth conditions.
For Medium category plants the CO2 requirement is approximately 10 mg/L and for Advanced plants approx. 25 mg/L.
*) If you have a larger aquarium containing Medium or Advanced plants, the lifetime of a nano-cartridge will be too short.In this case we recommend a larger cylinder e.g. 2 kg refillable.
